Alexa is an infamous website and its purpose is to provide traffic information to any websites on the Internet. Ranking well in Alexa does have its benefit and one of them is an increase in the value of any website that is about to be sold. Due to the immense amount of websites that are currently available on the Internet, ranking in even Alexa’s top 100,000 would already be good.
Getting good ranks in Alexa involves mainly huge traffic. However, that isn’t all. Visitors that come to the site needs to have an Alexa toolbar installed as well. That is the only way for Alexa to register the visitors coming to these sites.
This toolbar is installed mainly by webmasters and bloggers. To get these people to go to the desired sites, there must be contents which would attract these people to come to the site. There are claims that auto-surf sites can increase the Alexa rank of any website. There are a lot of websites that offer these services. Some are free while others are quite cheap in comparison. There are also individuals and groups that sells fixed amount of visitors. Chances are, this method may help to boost the Alexa ranking as well.
However, bear in mind that these methods may conflict with Google Adsense policy. So, be sure to turn them off while doing this so that the site would not be penalized by them.
