Some blogs may not have a forum or a chatroom where people can get together and talk. However, what they do have is a platform to start a conversation through the posts that they make. Conversations can take place through comments and counter-comments by the reader and the writer. In fact, websites such as ZDNet have a section called the Talkback just for this particular purpose.
The first move to loosen the audience a bit is by creating a post that isn’t related to the website. Make it just a random post or something that the writer has been thinking about. For example, if the writer is an avid gamer, why not talk about the games technology? Talk about future console releases such as the Playstation 4 and how the PS4 will have new features such as 3D or so.
If the writer wishes, he or she can relate the random post to something that is related to the website. If the website is about making money, then talk about how companies will make money out of these products and/or how the readers can make money as well.
Think creatively and think outside the box. That is the sole factor that will make a website stands out.
