Google Caffeine

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

A new project is currently being developed by Google and its purpose is to upgrade the current search engine program used by Google. Dubbed the Google Caffeine, it is said that the new and improved search engine will be a lot faster, more accurate and even more comprehensive than the current version.

There were a few individuals that were given the chance to test the new search engine. The current searching speed is already fast (at an average of 0.2-0.3 seconds per search), and yet the new version is said to lessen the time taken by half (an average of 0.1-0.15 seconds per search).

In addition to that, those that are searching for current news or matter will not get some old articles. Instead, they will get the freshest content on the Internet. This will definitely speed up the time taken to search for a certain matter.

Google Caffeine is also said to give a lot more results as compared with its predecessor. For example, although a keyword may give 50 million results from Google’s older search engine version, the newer version is said to give as many as 300 million results. That is 250 million more than the previous version.

In conclusion, the new and improved Google Caffeine is a response to Google’s competitors. They are determined to stay as the number one search engine on the planet and to provide real-time results as well.
